I'm a graphic designer based in NYC, I create aesthetically driven designs for print and web.
I like to make creative things. My favorite application to design with is Adobe Illustrator. Sometimes I get obsessed with creating icons and little illustrated designs as personal projects. This obsession has helped me to perfect my skills in the application. Illustrator has become the one application that is always open at all times on my computer.
I remember at a young age, wondering who created the artwork on my can of Juicy juice, or on my box of cereal. As a kid I was concious of the concept of advertising, design and the fact that someone was paid to create the label on the products we used everyday, which I considered artwork while other’s of the same age may not have had the same insight.
I graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where I built the skills needed to work in a professional environment. Since graduating I have earned 4 years of experience working as a production assistant for a well experienced creative director, as well as freelance experience on my own.

Adobe has released the public beta version of Photoshop CS6. I have been against upgrading for the past few versions because it seems like nothing groundbreaking was added or revamped. Photoshop has always been backwards compatible for files, unlike Illustrator and InDesign. I do however use Photoshop CS5 but that was after skipping CS3 and CS4, I decided to upgrade. After just a few hours of enjoyment and being blown away by the new features while playing with CS6, I decided that I will make the upgrade when it is officially released. Now on to why I love it so much.

If you don’t know by now (hard to believe you wouldn’t, with the internet blackout of so many sites on Jan. 18th) a US house bill (HR3261) threatens the freedom of the internet as we know it. Being a creative I am all for a bill that helps protect the intellectual property of content creators, but this bill as its written doesn’t give me or the little guy any power to protect my/your work, it is written to help larger corporations like Sony, Disney, RIAA, MPAA, Universal, etc. combat piracy.
